BRUCE LAMOND, DDS

With nearly 20 years of experience in the dental field, Dr. Lamond has certainly proven his ability to create lasting improvements for his patients’ wellbeing and overall quality of life. After spending time practicing in Oregon, he’s happy to now be in beautiful East Texas and spending quality time with such friendly people every day! WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A DENTIST?

For many years, Dr. Lamond wanted to have a career where he could positively impact others’ lives on a routine basis. Before his current job, he was actually a pararescue specialist in the United States Air Force – there, he was tasked with saving lives in the most extreme situations and environments on Earth! Today, he’s content to focus more on saving teeth specifically, and he finds it very rewarding to see the immediate and tangible benefits this kind of work provides to those in need.

WHERE DID YOU STUDY DENTISTRY?

Following his time in the Air Force, Dr. Lamond earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Southern Illinois before attending dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry. In addition to the completion of his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he is passionate about continuing education and has attended advanced courses in a variety of different specialties, including orthodontics, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry. He is one of only a handful of general practitioners in the United States that currently use microscopes to enhance their diagnostic capabilities and perform minimally invasive dentistry! He’s also a member of the Pararescue Association and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, as well as a ClearCorrect provider.

OUTSIDE OF THE DENTAL OFFICE, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?

Dr. Lamond is of Scottish descent, but he grew up in San Diego – in fact, he’s the first member of his family to be born in America! In his free time, he’s a big animal (particularly dog) lover and enjoys playing golf, reading, watching movies, scuba diving, traveling, and hanging out with his family. He’s also passionate about serving his community and even started Rescue Smiles, which provides free dental care for the disadvantaged.

GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY

In his younger days, Dr. Lamond actually served in the United States as a pararescueman, which means that his primary role was rescuing downed/injured aircrew members and saving lives on a routine basis. Today, he’s narrowed his focus down to rescuing smiles instead! As a proud resident of East Texas, he has an unending passion for giving back to the community and helping patients from all walks of life, including those who are disadvantaged, reclaim the lasting health and confidence that comes from having wonderful teeth. That’s why he started Rescue Smiles. Through this organization, he’s provided multiple charitable procedures for local community members – and he can’t wait to take on more cases in the near-future.

Jennifer - Treatment Coordinator

Jennifer is a Dallas native and earned her BBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas before completing her RDA certification at Baylor. Today, her career in dentistry spans over five years and counting. She loves being able to meet so many new people through her job. Developing long-lasting relationships with patients while helping them become healthier is so rewarding!

Outside of work, Jennifer is happily married and has four special fur babies (two dogs and two cats). Her hobbies include traveling, scuba diving, running, gardening, and spending quality time family and friends. She’s also a very big fan of jigsaw puzzles and can spend hours on a picture if she’s in the mood.

Sheri - Hygiene Coordinator

A Garland native, Sheri has been working in the dental world for over two decades now. She loves meeting new people through her position, as well as helping them become healthier and happier from appointment to appointment!

Sheri has a grown son who currently lives in the Dallas area. When she isn’t busy at work, you can often find her doing arts and crafts, playing with her fur baby Lucy, and traveling. One of her favorite things to do while traveling is checking out little, unique cafes and shops along the way.

Saria - RDH

Saria grew up and went to school in Jacksonville, Texas. She started her career in dentistry as a dental assistant and had 5 years of experience in general dentistry and orthodontics. She decided to become a Dental Hygienist and graduated from Tyler Junior College with her degree in Dental Hygiene in 2021.

Dentistry has always fascinated Saria and she doesn’t see herself working in a different field. Her goal was to become a hygienist but she wanted to start as an assistant first to get a feel for the dental field. After three years, she decided to go back to school and further my education. She loves educating her patients about their oral health to improve their over all health.

Outside of work, Saria loves to spend her time with her teenage son and family. She enjoys walking, traveling, reading and photography. She is proud to be a first generation college graduate and is currently working on her BSDH degree.
